Each project comes with its own chaos and growth. In my creative journey, each piece here reflects a step forward. Some were scrappy, some ambitious, but all of them taught me how to communicate better through story and image.
HI MOM - 48 Hour Film Fest 2022
Our 2022 submission was our most ambitious project to date, involving multiple locations, extensive visual effects, and significant personal contributions. It required the orchestration of a full original score and the acquisition of rights to a licensed track. I took on the roles of writer, director, and editor for this project, overseeing all aspects of its creation.
Mama Says - 48 Hour Film Fest 2022
This film was developed via invitation for a select group of individuals who successfully advanced through the preliminary rounds, positioning it as a submission for an international festival rather than a local competition. It stands out as the most comprehensive project in terms of cinematography and color grading. Throughout the process, I gained invaluable insights from our editor, which significantly enhanced my editing skills and broadened my technical expertise for future projects.
Miles - 48 Hour Film Fest 2019
"Miles" marked my first real attempt at filmmaking. While it may not fully reflect the technical complexity of more advanced projects, it provided an invaluable introduction to the filmmaking process. The film was recognized with an award for Best Writing, which was a significant milestone in my development as a storyteller.
University of Minnesota Medical School - PR/Content Creation Intern 2022-2023
Much of my work was project-based (many were internal) and requested by various departments. As a result, many of my individual shots and photos have been incorporated into numerous videos across the Medical School's platforms. I also contributed to a variety of micro-projects, including editing existing footage, capturing and retouching photos for public use, and creating professional headshots.
